Arm Announces the Appointments of Paul E. Jacobs and Rosemary Schooler to its Board of Directors

Arm today announced the appointment of new board members Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, president and CEO of XCOM Labs and former CEO and executive chairman of Qualcomm Inc., and Rosemary Schooler, former corporate vice president and general manager of Data Center and AI Sales for Intel.

Both bring to Arm substantial experience in public companies from technology development to corporate strategy and corporate governance as the company continues to prepare for a public offering.

"The unique knowledge and deep experience Paul and Rosemary bring to the company will help us broaden and diversify our board as we deliver tremendous value to Arm at such an important time in our journey,” said Rene Haas, CEO of Arm.

About Paul E. Jacobs

Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, Ph.D. is the president and CEO of XCOM Labs, which he founded in 2018 to develop high-performance wireless technologies and applications. Prior to XCOM, Dr. Jacobs served as CEO and executive chairman of Qualcomm Inc., where he spearheaded the company's efforts to develop and commercialize key mobile technology innovations that propelled the wireless internet and smartphone revolutions . During his tenure as CEO, Qualcomm's revenue quadrupled, while market capitalization doubled. Dr. Jacobs is a prolific inventor with 80 US patents issued and pending in the field of wireless technology and devices.

Dr. Jacobs currently serves as director of Dropbox, Inc. and FIRST. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science, a master's degree in electrical engineering, and a doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley. Founder of the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation at Berkely, Dr. Jacobs is a Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

About Rosemary Schooler

Rosemary Schooler is a proven leader with over 30 years of experience in the global technology industry. She most recently served as corporate vice president and general manager of Data Center and AI Sales for Intel Corporation. During his 33-year career at Intel, Schooler managed and oversaw business and business strategy for the company's IoT division. She has also served as vice president and general manager across several Intel startup initiatives in the integrated / IoT, networking, and storage divisions, including PnL, architecture, product development, and customer success efforts. In his networking role, Schooler led transformational initiatives in the industry, including Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and technologies such as the Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK).

Rosemary Schooler has supported efforts from industry, including ATIS and TIA, as well as non-profits, such as the National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT). Previously, she was an independent director for Cloudera and is currently a board member for Zurn Water Solutions. Schooler holds degrees in ceramics science and engineering from Penn State University.
