Secret Invasion: Marvel used Artificial Intelligence to produce the intro

Marvel's Secret Invasion television series premiered this week.

Marvel studio used AI technology to make the intro.

Entertainment director Ali Selim said he intentionally reached out to AI vendors.

Captain Marvel

Actor Samuel L. Jackson appeared in Captain Marvel , where he was digitally recreated to look like an age-appropriate version of himself for the 90s-set film. However, the modern actor's performance is real, not mere computer graphics. It is fair to write that Jackson is no hypocrite when he swears that he will not allow himself to be digitally recreated in any project, either in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or in Star Wars.

Very disgruntled artists and creators, they tore up the intro. Method Studios, the credits producer, has worked with Marvel in the past on productions like Moon Knight and Loki, and is now showing concern following the show's debut.

Methos Studios

“Artificial intelligence is just one tool among those used by our artists. No artist's work has been replaced by incorporating these new tools; instead, they complemented and assisted our creative teams,” Method wrote in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Working on Secret Invasion, a captivating show that explores the infiltration of aliens into human society, has provided an exceptional opportunity to delve into the intriguing realm of theIA, especially to create unique character attributes and movements,” they continued. “Using a custom AI tool for this particular element perfectly aligned with the overall theme of the project and desired aesthetic.”

In a post on Instagram now deleted , the artists involved in the production have deficalled “revolutionary” and have defifinished “an honor to be part of this journey”. The artist himself, passing by sagans , has a large body of work from Stable Diffusion. If Marvel or Disney used that program in the intro, it can be traced back to the Laion Database. Laion was sued by a photographer that she wanted to give up and was also sued by Getty and a class action . So it might be difficult to prove that "no artist's work was lost" unless they provided the program with their own work, something Selim called "Skrull cubism."

The statement concluded with more reassurance of their process. “The Method Studios design team has expertly harnessed the power of existing and custom AI technologies to apply the otherworldly, alien look. The entire process, guided by expert art direction, included the initial phase of storyboarding, illustration, AI generation, 2D/3D animation, and culminating in the final composition phase.”
