Google Photos introduces the "magic eraser" on non-Pixel devices

Google has announced its popular AI-powered photo editing tool, Magic Eraser, the new features will be available to Google One subscribers.

Google photos introduces the popular photo editing tool “Magic Eraser”, which uses theartificial intelligence to remove unwanted content from images, also available to Google One subscribers as well as existing Pixel owners.

Along with Magic Eraser, subscribers will also get a new HDR video effect, exclusive collage styles and other editing tools. Previously only available to Google Pixel 6 and 7 owners, Magic Eraser will now be available to all Google One subscribers on both Android and iOS. It will also be available for Pixel 5a and previous Pixel smartphones, with no Google One membership required. 

Even if you don't have a Pixel phone, you can still use the Magic Eraser feature in google photos on your device. 

In addition to these editing tools, Google One subscribers will also get free shipping when ordering photo prints from online stores in the US, Canada, UK and EU. While these features alone might not be worth paying for, the bundled package offered along with other benefits, backup and sync options, and extra storage space has made the Google One subscription one of the top sellers in the app stores.

Google says the Magic Eraser, HDR effect, and new collage styles will start rolling out today, but it could take a few weeks to reach all users globally.
