Google is experimenting with including a Discover Feed on its desktop homepage that displays recommended content alongside the company's traditional search box. One screenshot of MSPowerUser , which spotted the change, displays a feed that includes news headlines, weather forecasts, sports scores and stock information from a trio of companies.
The search giant had already added the Google Discover Feed to its US homepage on mobile devices in 2018.
Google spokeswoman Lara Levin confirmed the change in a statement released to The Verge, underlining that this is an experiment currently underway in India. Any changes made to are significant as it continues to be the most visited website in the world.
Google Discover is an integrated function of the Google app, which allows you to have the most important information on your display, such as online newspaper articles, viral videos or weather forecasts.
Thanks to implementations at the level of Artificial Intelligence, Google is able to create a search-based news feed carried out over time, on the main topics viewed and on the most visited sites, all central elements in the data driven marketing strategies.
