Facebook introduces two new sections, similar to TikTok

Facebook introduces two separate sections for the news stream. The official announcement was made by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who wrote in a post on his Facebook profile that “one of the most requested features is the one that ensures that you don't miss friends' posts. Then we launch a special Feed section ".

The new Home section will automatically propose i videos and posts from strangers which according to the algorithms are more likely to generate interactions. Practically an experience more similar to that of TikTok, like the one already experienced in part by Instagram, this spring.

On the other hand the Feed section will show the posts of friends in chronological order.

According to the company, this gives users more control over how content is displayed. According to what is read on the company's website, the function can also be customized by setting a section in the quick link bar.
