With the aim of scaling search engines, website managers will use innovative tools such as ChatGpt3, Midjourney and artificial intelligence. Many will abuse it by producing a barrage of fake news capable of filling their web pages with content for the simple purpose of positioning themselves and their brands.
The freedom to publish anything online, regardless of its real informative value, will make the web and social media less and less reliable and every single piece of news will be considered credible only when conveyed by a channel considered itself reliable.
In other words, only historical newspapers or opinion makers who already enjoy some social recognition can be considered reliable while everything else will lose value and end up on the back burner.
It is possible that in the coming years, after years of constant economic losses, we will have a new spring for journalistic publishing to which will be added a polarization of online traffic on sites displaying already widely recognizable titles and brands.
And while advertising space on news sites will acquire an extraordinary economic value, it will be more difficult for emerging channels to gain an audience.
We can imagine the birth of entities capable of certifying the quality of information, perhaps with the use of artificial intelligence and chatgpt3. This cost will add to the costs that every online disclosure site already has to bear to guarantee its reliability such as SSL certificates for the protection of communications and forms for managing personal data, in compliance with the GDPR. In fact, SSL certificates and GDPR modules are today guaranteed in the most effective way by paid services and those who do not have them are penalized by search engines.
The Web is destined to become a platform where increasingly significant investments are needed to be present. The alternative will be oblivion.
