This history of innovation and blockchain it could only have originated in the Riviera del Brenta, near Venice, a jewel of the Italian footwear industry famous for its exceptional craftsmanship in the world of Made in Italy fashion.
The protagonists are EZ Lab Blockchain Solutions, an innovative Padua-based SME specialized in solutions blockchain advances to enhance the corporate business and promote economic, social and environmental sustainability, and Peron Shoes, first supplier of the most prestigious Italian brands, whose creations tread the red carpets of the most glamorous events in Milan, Paris, New York, at the foot of international music and film stars, royalty and first ladies.
Peron is the first company to tokenize the entire production cycle. Tokenization is the process that uses technology blockchain to securely record and share all the information that regulate certain processes, transforming them into units called tokens. Thanks to innovation, each pair of shoes tells its story through immutable, transparent and verifiable data: from cutting to sewing to assembly, each phase takes place within a radius of 10 km.
"The idea was born from a simple intuition", says Alberto Masenadore, manager of Peron Shoes, "the pervasiveness of data concerns every production activity: between software, cloud and IOT sources, every entrepreneur must learn to manage complexity and security of information. But thanks to technology it has been possible to transform a need into a great opportunity”.
“The result is the creation of added value, thanks to data” adds Massimo Morbiato, CEO of EZ Lab. “Each product has its own value” continues Morbiato “but those products that transmit validated process data to the market, such as quality sustainability, linking them uniquely to the single piece produced, they have a higher value for the final consumer in terms of quality and trust and for the producer a direct knowledge of the consumers".

Thanks to its participation in the ICE Agency's Track IT project, of which EZ Lab is the service provider, the shoe factory has applied this technology to 100% sustainable AMAROSSA shoes, the shoe factory's brand, and to Via della Paglia shoes, made with sustainable materials. The footwear is available to the public not only on its website but also on the Zalando platform.
Traceability allows for the establishment of a relationship of trust and direct knowledge between the producer and the consumer, while the digital twin NFT, which matches each product, makes Peron Shoes ready for immediate entry into the metaverse of fashion: this technology will be used for all production and for customers who request it.
