Aqara previews new devices for 2023

Aqara will expand its range in 2023 with the addition of innovative sensors, smart door locks, video intercoms and LED strips. Committed to providing home automation experiences to millions of users globally, Aqara continues to enrich its offerings with the latest connected home technologies and new types of devices.

Video Doorbell G4

Video intercom that complements the Aqara video cameras for inside homes. Together, these cameras help users keep watch over their home, family and visitors anytime, anywhere. This intercom allows for highly flexible installation, powered by battery or hardwired for continuous operation. Not only does it support HomeKit Secure Video and local streaming to Amazon and Google smart displays, but it also works with Matter, after having the specification ready for Matter cameras. The G4 offers AI-enhanced local facial recognition that can trigger different automatisms according to the person, and the device also includes both free 7-day cloud storage and optional local storage via microSD card.

Presence Sensor FP2

An innovative sensor that adds to the company's wide-ranging range. Thanks to millimeter wave (mmWave) radar technology, FP2 detects human presence even when the person is sitting and still. Enables zone placement, which allows users to definite different areas in a room such as the bed, dresser or sofa area, and being in each of these individual areas can activate different automatisms for a more personalized experience. Other features include multi-person detection, fall detection, and a built-in light sensor.

Smart Lock U100

Aqara's first deadbolt lock, offering a convenient and secure home access solution that can be easily integrated into modern smart homes. The U100 lock is one of the few smart locks on the market that is HomeKit compatible and supports the home key option in Apple Wallet. Other access authentication options include fingerprints, passwords, the Aqara Home app, NFC cards and mechanical keys. Based on the Zigbee protocol, U100 supports Matter through an Aqara compatible hub.

LED strip T1

Multifunctional RGB CCT light strip intended to enrich smart lighting experiences for Aqara users. It produces up to 16 million vibrant colors and dimmable white light, and is buildable with gradient effects. HomeKit, Alexa and Google Home are supported, while Matter support is planned to be added through an Aqara compatible hub after launch. The LED strip is based on Zigbee, which means lower power consumption, as well as a lighter home Wi-Fi network, and also serves as a repeater to improve the Zigbee network.

These Aqara devices will be available on the market in the coming months.
