This edition of the Genova Smart Week has confirmed the growth of the city not only in terms of innovation, but also in terms of its openness to the world: a path of internationalization recognized by a prestigious organization such as Urban Innovators Global, which has invited Genoa to participate in the “Imagine the Citiverse” event on May 27 and 28, 2025 in Tampere, Finland. It will be a very important opportunity to compare with some of the most advanced smart cities in the world, a family to which we are proud to belong.».

«The Genova Smart Week was, perhaps even more than in previous years, and it was not easy, a showcase of the numerous projects that the Municipality of Genoa, together with all the stakeholders of the territory, is implementing to improve the quality of life of the Genoese through the application of innovation, digitalization andartificial intelligence to all areas of the economic and productive life of the city - declares Pietro Piciocchi, deputy mayor of Genoa - New technologies are, for cities like Genoa and for the daily life of citizens and businesses, an extraordinary opportunity for development that it is essential to know how to decline and use in the best way to not miss the train of competitiveness at a national and global level. We are aware of this, which is why we will continue in the coming years, together with our friends of the Genova Smart City association and all the other partners in our territory, to guide Genoa towards the future, opening it up more and more to the world and making it a model to follow in the field of mobility, transport, business culture and Smart Cities, making use of the support, ideas and participation of the youngest, who are the present and the future of our city».

Among the most interesting initiatives presented in this tenth edition, there is certainly the platform Intelligent Urban Mobility for real-time monitoring of traffic flows via theartificial intelligence, developed by the Municipality of Genoa and Movyon-Autostrade per l'Italia as part of the larger project Smart Genoa dedicated to the smart mobility of the city and the port. Also significant are the investments made by the Municipality of Genoa for the digitalization of public administration, among which the collaborations with Microsoft on Genoa OneLake and on the urban intelligence platform Genoa Super Night, which translate into more efficient services and faster responses to citizens' needs.

An attention to innovation which, right in the days of Smart Week, brought the City of Genoa to obtain a double, important recognition from theICity Rank, the annual report that analyses the state of digitalisation of regional capital administrations: the inclusion in the first group of “full digital city" and the first place overall in the “digital administrations” dimension.
